How to Vote

Election day is Tuesday, August 1. Ballots must be postmarked by that day, or placed in a ballot drop box by 8pm.

By mail

Put a first-class stamp on your ballot and mail it. We recommend going to the post office and watching them postmark it in person.

Ballot drop boxes

Return your ballot to a ballot drop box, no stamp required. Your ballot must be returned to a ballot drop box by 8 p.m. election day. Plan ahead to avoid lines.

Accessible voting centers

King County accessible voting centers (AVCs) are available to voters who need assistance completing their ballot. Trained staff and specialized equipment are available to help voters with disabilities cast a private, independent ballot.
